Mountain biking has always been fun, adventurous, tiring, entertaining and full of exploration. Nepal being developing country and full of rocky and hilly area the construction of proper path was has always been difficult for the government. It is still a prefect place on the globe for bikers as it has diverse areas covering plains of terai region, rocky & hilly regions, cold & breezy mountainous range and gorgeous and chilled Himalayan region.

Mountain biking in Nepal could be done in specific places based on ones endurance power, fitness level or self challenge. Biking around Yaks could be a wonderful experience or even exploring the beauty of Kathmandu and biking around beautiful temples in Kathmandu Valley. An intimate experience would be biking from Kathmandu to Nagarkoat, the journey distance would be roughly around 23 Kilometers. An interesting ride could be riding the bike in National Chitwan International Park.

For professional bikers who love to journey Nepal in a bike, it is of a best practice to always bring their bike to Nepal rather than renting one at Nepal. It could always possible to rent their own bikes in Nepal but the standard of the bikes in Nepal might not meet the expectation and always they would end up paying a bit high price.

Expect people walking on the road and kids playing across the streets. Be careful not hit those kids or even animals on the road as it could get nasty if you hit them. The worse case scenarios could be even getting beaten up by the local people.  Although people are friendly and hospital towards the tourist and consider visitors as god but there are possibilities that their anger could overwhelm the cool and calm attitude.
Bikers are recommended to be mentally prepared as uphill rides could be very tiring and at times it would be required by the bikers to carry their bikes and walk few meters. Incase the biking is tiring they could always stop a local bus and pay ranging from Nepali Rupees 50 to 100. Be careful to tie the bike properly as they are kept on the top of the roof and there are tendency for the bikes to fall down.
