Mount Everest the highest peak of the world, conquered by Sir Edmund Percival Hillary, a New Zealander, the first honorary citizen in Nepalese history. May 29, 2009; Nepal is celebrating first International Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) day.  A number of cultural program are to be organized at Everest Base Camp-Namche. Basantapur- Thamel the heart of Kathmandu and the major destination of tourist is all set to organize various programs including street festival at Durmargmarg followed by award distribution ceremony at Hotel Yak and Yeti.


For mountain lovers and people fond of trekking it is the right time to plan their trip, it is going to be an unforgettable experience as there are lots of things to be offered at Nepal. The mountain range of Nepal the northern part of the country lays Himalayan range with 8 highest peak of the fourteen eight-thousanders of the world. Mountaineering might not be the interested of all the touring visiting Nepal and for those tourists to explore the beauty on Himalayan region Nepalese aircraft offers a mountain- flight which will take around the world highest peak which will definitely be a unforgettable experience and the saying goes “Once is not enough” will lure you to come back again an again to explore the beauty.

Back to the international festival, which is marked as the beginning of a New Nepal with new initiative taken by various tourism prompting agencies of Nepal where thousand of locals and tourist are expected to take part in it. The major place of interest would be the Thamel, Basantapur and Durbarmarg where major programs are being organized; beside this one can take this opportunity to visit various historical places World heritage sites in Kathmandu itself: Darbar square of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Nepal an ideal place for mixture of Hindu and Buddhist where one can find a number of temples and pagodas: some of the heritage sites include Pashupatinath, Syambhunath Stupa and Bouddhanath Stupa.
