Nepal a mysterious, adventurous, beautiful and at times politically troubled nation Nepal is a backpacker’s heaven. Travelling Nepal as a backpacker is always full of excitement and exciting. Neither it does not require a great deal of knowledge to visit Nepal nor does it require a lot of wealth to visit Nepal.

A true beauty of Nepal could always be explored for low budget. It is always the matter of locating the right combination of healthy place where once could stay for almost free of cost. There are guest house which is being sold for merely $10 (Approximately 780 Nepali Rupees). Even an entire day meal would cost around $8 to $16 approximately around 600 to 1400 Nepali Rupees depending on ones eating habit. One can easily obtain an on arrival visa for $30 for around 60 days. Trekking permit is always required for foreigners willing to go for trekking except for Everest, Langtang and Annapurna areas.

Obtaining Trekking Permit in Nepal

Trekking in Nepal is dream of every adventrous travellers. It is indeed easy to obtain permit for trekking in Nepal. Yes, in deed there is a need os special trekking permits in Nepal. Nepal Government has specified certain rules before one can actually trek in Nepal. These rules are mentioned below:

  1. Obtain the application form being provided by Nepal Mountaineering Association.
  2. The permit is valid for one month with extendable for two weeks.
  3. Permit period obtained includes the timeframe spend above the base camp, it does not include the time spent at the ase camp.
  4. Permit is granted based on first come first serve basis.
  5. The approval of permit is solely depends on the Nepal Mountaineering Association.
  6. The permit is next recommended to Government of Immigration Office of Nepal to issue trekking permit of the area.
