Obtaining Visa to Nepal 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 1
Visiting Nepal and worried about visa issue?-

Nepal does not have any specific requirement for obtaining visa. all nationalities are welcome to visit Nepal provided that they are not harming the country or creating any trouble in the Himalayan country. It is fairly easy to apply for visa but it is of a good practice to be well prepared before traveling to Nepal and rather apply for visa in the city of origin. Alternatively you can always obtain visa on arrival with a small hassle of falling in the queue.

However, a sad story for lovers there is always need of special permit necessary to obtain for trekking and mountaineering which could be applied at Nepal easily.

Enjoy your visit in the Himalayan nation. The winter is on and it has started getting chilly as glimpse of snow and exotic view of mountains covered with white blanket of snow is readily visible from the Kathmandu valley. If you miss this then you are missing something beautiful

Hi,

Do Russians, Japanese and Dutch need visa to Nepal? Can it be visa on arrival? We have international team who plans to visit this country for friend's wedding.

Except Indian nationals everyone is required to obtain visa to visit Nepal. It is safe either obtaining an on arrival visa or even obtaining a visa at the local consulate or embassy office in the country of residence.

It is hassle free and would cost around US$30 for a 30 days single entry visa or US$80 for a multiple entry visa valid for 60 days. Please note this Visa see does not make one elligible for trekking but is just an visa to visit the country.

A separate special Visa for Trekking is to be obtained at Kathmandu before one opts for trekking in Nepal. Enjoy your trip and have fun in Nepal.
